NBEES: Brand Identity Design
Project Overview:
NBEES is a unique streetwear brand designed to resonate with the nonbinary community. The brand name, derived from 'Enbies' (a term for nonbinary individuals), reflects the brand's commitment to inclusivity and diversity. Located in Toronto's vibrant Queen St. W. near Liberty Village, NBEES targets young adults aged 18-25 who value diversity, environmental sustainability, and local community engagement.
Design Philosophy:
Inspired by the vision of Lord Robert Baden-Powell, NBEES embodies the ethos of leaving the world better than we found it. The brand's personality is bold, confident, and cheerful, mirroring the non-binary concept of gender. The bee, a non-binary creature, is central to the brand's imagery, symbolizing the spread of social change and awareness. Influenced by Alan Fletcher's minimalist art style, NBEES encourages self-definition and authenticity, aligning with non-binary values.
Tagline:
"You are your own definition." This encapsulates the brand's belief in individual perception and self-definition, respecting diverse perspectives shaped by personal experiences.
